Mr Irfan Malik is a skilful spinal neurosurgeon with high level of expertise. His caring attitude and professionalism is very reassuring that puts all fears in the minds of his patients and their families to rest. I couldn't have been in safer pair of hands . Mr. Malik did a very complex laminectomy and fusion on me in January 2024, which literally saved my life. My spinal cord was trapped in three places as I had a disease of the spine (OPLL - the posterior longitudinal ligament calcifies and turns to bone and grows inwards). I was in a lot of neuropathic pain, had myelopathy (losing sensation in my limbs) and was at risk of becoming quadriplegic if I had a fall or a crash and was slowly becoming quadriplegic already. There was no choice but to operate and it was a dangerous rare surgery with high risk. Mr Malik was incredibly kind throughout the process, he was very honest about the risks but was also extremely reassuring and very supportive to me and my family who were shocked at the immediacy of the diagnosis and need to act without delay. I had absolute faith in him. His care and after care at the Harley Street Clinic was first class. His ongoing care was incredible and he personally continued to monitor me and my progress between follow up appointments at his clinic. I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Malik, there are not enough words to express my thanks to him. I am indebted to him. He has saved my life. He is the consummate professional and an incredibly compassionate and kind human being.

I had continuous pins and needles in my hands and a numb arm and was unable to sit down without the symptoms getting worse. I was referred to Mr Malik was very kind and courteous. I had lots of tests and discovered I needed to have two discs replaced at the top of my spine. He explained everything to me leading up to my surgery and on the day. My surgery went well and I've enclosed pictures post surgery to today 11 months on. I had immediate relief but followed up with physio afterwards for 8 weeks. I am pain free and able to live life normally.

Mr. Irfan Malik Neurosurgeon is the most clever and skilled gentleman he has a font of knowledge which is exceptional. I have suffered with localized back pain which has progressed to beyond severe after a year and a half no conventional medicine helped .He has been my last whisper of hope to resolve it. I had a benign tumour in my throracic spine vertebra. He found the solution which meant surgery, I welcomed this I had my surgery within a fortnight just how wonderful is that. By the time I had my review two weeks later I could report that the intense pain had gone and was now only a sore area that would heal with time just a tiny area no great big cuts although I would not have minded to be free of pain.We all think consultants are like magicians but he really is and utterly charming and easy to talk to the greatest gift is to listen and he has that in abundance.I would also like to give a huge thank you to all the team that work with him.I would not hesitate in recommending him .
